Our holistic approach introduces newsrooms to a unique group of qualified, vetted and diverse candidates. Through this process, we are building something new and transformative to address a broken and inequitable hiring process.
DPI operates a free mentorship, training and career-advancement program for journalists, with an emphasis on people of color, military veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
We help journalists find jobs, advance in their current roles and navigate newsroom politics. This is all at no cost to the individual journalists.
Our goal is simple: We want to help any journalist who needs it, and support every newsroom that understands the benefits of a diverse workforce.
